These terms are the agreement between you and Circle247 Ltd for use of the Circle247 app and website. By setting up or joining a circle, you agree to them.
Circle247 is not an emergency service
An SOS in Circle247 alerts the Guardians in your circle. It is not a substitute for calling the emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger, always call 999 (or your local emergency number) first.
The service
Circle247 provides a silent pocket SOS, live location sharing within a chosen circle, an offline heartbeat, and related safety features. Guardians set everything up on the web; Members carry the app.
Guardians and Members
- Guardians create and manage a circle, see the live map, receive alerts, and are the only people who can mark an SOS as resolved.
- Members are the people being watched over. Their app runs quietly and their membership is always free.
- A Guardian must have the authority to add each Member. Where a Member is a child, the Guardian must hold parental responsibility or the consent of someone who does.
Eligibility and accounts
You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. A Guardian account holder must be aged 18 or over. Children may be Members where a Guardian with parental responsibility has set them up.
Billing
- Members are free forever. Only Guardians pay.
- Guardian is £4.99 per month and includes 2 Members. Family is £14.99 per month and includes 4 Members and 2 sub-Guardians. Extra seats are £2 per month each.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and your circle stays intact.
- Prices include VAT where it applies. We will give notice before any price change.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Circle247 only to look after people who have agreed to be in your circle. You must not use it to track, follow or monitor anyone without their knowledge and agreement, to harass or harm anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with the service or its security.
Availability
We work hard to keep Circle247 running, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or that alerts will always be delivered, because that depends on devices, networks, operating systems and services outside our control. Please keep this in mind, and never rely on Circle247 as your only means of getting help.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Subject to that, Circle247 is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis, and we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that arise because an alert could not be delivered by a device, network or third party. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending your agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or where we must for legal or safety reasons. On closure we handle your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top; significant changes will be notified in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
